Joo muk bap

Joo muk bap is Korean rice ball, made of sticky rice with some sesame oil, sesame seed, salt and kim (sea weed). Joo muk baps were given to demonstrators during the May 18 Gwangju Democratic Uprising.

The May 18 Memorial Foundation named its monthly publication on human rights issue as joo muk bap.
